Abstract

The title of this research is the Adang Mabuok lukah dance in the Tanjung village community, Koto Kampar Hulu sub-district, Kampar regency, Riau Province, the work of Ade Novalia. The problem in this study is how are the elements of dance in the Adang Mabuok lukah dance in Tanjung village, Koto Kampar Hulu sub-district. The purpose of this study was to find out the elements of dance in the Adang Mabuok lukah dance in the Tanjung village community of Koto Kampar Hulu sub-district by Ade Novalia. The method used in this study is a non-interactive qualitative method. Data collected using observation, interview, and documented techniques. This research was reviewed from the aspects of dance elements according to Soedarsono. The results of the study concluded that the Adang Mabuok lukah dance in the Tanjung village community in the Koto Kampar Hulu sub-district of Kampar Province had elements of dance, namely: 1) motion; 2) music (which consists of gong, calempon, gubano dam gendang panjang and the dancer's own vocals); 3) Floor design (consisting of 11 floor designs, namely straight lines, curves, circles, right / left diagonals, front facing, left facing, and rear facing); 4) Dynamics created by music motion levels; 5) dance costumes using long sleeved black clothes, long black pants, black hijab, and long batik cloth for decoration on the head; 6) Makeup on this dance is a beautiful makup; 7) properties used in this dance are lukas commonly used to catch fish; 8) the lighting used in this dance has no provisions, which are important in light.
