Abstract

This study aims to determine extracurricular relations with Biology learning outcomes of students of class XI IPA 1 Mandau State High School Academic Year 2018/2019. This research was conducted from April to May 2019. This study used a quantitative approach using the type of Person Product Moment correlation research. In this study, the population was a class XI IPA 1 Mandau high school student consisting of class XI Science 1- XI Science 3. The sample in this study were 80 people. The data collection techniques can be done by questionnaire, observation, interview and documentation. Data is processed and analyzed using the Person Product Moment correlation formula. The results showed that the average questionnaire of all extracurricular sub indicators of 75.70% were in the good category and 84% were in the excellent category. This study shows that there is a significant relationship between Extracurricular (X) and Biology Learning Outcomes (Y) with a rxy correlation coefficient of 0.411. For significant values it was found that extracurricular (X) with Learning Outcomes (Y) t count (3.98)> t table (1.99). It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between extracurricular and Biology learning outcomes of students of class XI IPA in Mandau 1 Public Senior High School 2018/2019.
