Abstract

The purpose of this research is to increase students’ learning outcomes biology class VIII1 MTsN Sentajo Pekanbaru years 2011/2012 by using coopperative learning model TPS tipe. This research is classroom action research (CAR), the time of this research on 17 September-12 November 2013. Subject of this research is students class VIII1 MTsN Sentajo years 2011-2012 with totols 36 students consist of 15 famale students and 21 male students. The collecting data of this research using descriptive analysis. The data that analyzed are result of science understanding concept and csientific performance. The students’capacity of learning outcomes before CAR is 68.33 and increase amount of 9,87% first cycle become 78.20 and on the second cycles increase amount of 4.57% become 82.77. The students’ classical completeness before CAR is 61.11%, first cycle the classical completeness happened increasing amount of 30.55% become 91.66%. and second cycles is happened increasing amount 5.56% become 97.22%. Score completeness of scientific performance before CAR is 69.86%, on the first cycle increase amount 6.68% become 76.54%, and on the second cyclesincrease amount of 3.18% become 79.72%. Based on the resulfs of students learning biology after CAR can be summari that application of cooperative learning TPS tipe using picture media can increase the result of students learning biology class VIII1 MTsN Sentajo years 2013-2014.
