Abstract

This research is intended to know students perceptions and motivations of field trip implementation on courses plant ecology and animal ecology students of 2016 generation at FKIP biology UIR. This type of research is a descriptive survey research with a quantitative approach. Data collection performed with distributing questionnaires and interviews. The questionnaire was prepared by developing the components contained in the concept of implementing a field trip, and each item ued a three-point Likert scale. the researcher used simple random sampling as the sampling technique and to determine the number of samples researchers took 60% of the number of participants, so that was obtained 62 students as respondents. In the questionnaire measuring students’ persceptions regarding the implementation of field trip, in the planning indicator get a percentage of 96,25% with a very good categories, pedagogy indicator of 93,84% with very good categories too, in the outcomes indikator was 97,30% and also in the very good categories. Than the results obtained from the study showed that a students’ persception of implementation of the field trip was very good (95,79%). Whereas in the study of students’ motivation of field trip implementation, in the intrinsic goal orientation indicator obtained a percentage of 92,19% with a very good categories, the extrinsic goal orientation indikator wa 89,24%, in the task value indicator was 94,61% and also in the very good categories, then in the control of learning beliefs indicator is 86,12%, in the self-efficacy for learning and performance of 89,78% with very good categories, the last test anxiety indicator it was in the good categories with percentage of 75,08%. The final results in this study indicate that motivation of students’ of field trip implementation is also in the very good categories (87,84%).
