Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlations between learning habits with biology learning outcomes of students at SMAN 1 Lubuk Dalam Siak Regency, Riau Province in Academic Year 2018/2019. The population in this study were all students majoring in Mathematics and Natural Sciences of SMAN 1 Lubuk dalam Siak Regency, Riau Province, while the number of samples was 67, sampling proporsionate stratified random sampling. The variables used in this study are study habits as independent variables and student biology learning outcomes as the dependent variable. Data collection techniques used in this study are using questionnaire (questionnaire), interviews and documentation. This research uses product moment correlation analysis. The results showed that there was a significant correltions between study habits with biology learning outcomes of students at SMAN 1 Lubuk dalam Siak Regency, Riau Province in 2018/2019 Academic Year. This is evidenced from the results of the product moment correlation analysis obtained to count 9,620 > t table 1,671, then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, meaning that there is a correlation between study habits with student biology learning outcomes. The results of the calculation of the determinant coefficient are known that the magnitude of the effect between study habits with student biology learning outcomes is 58,7%.
