Abstract

The Kandis District community is a multicultural society, this can seen from the number of people consisting of various ethnic groups. Among the tribes that In Kandis District, there are dominant ethnic groups such as Javanese, Minang, Malay, Batak. The Batak community is an immigrant community in Indonesia Kandis District. The Tor-Tor dance that exists in today's society is very easy to find its existence because many fans. For maintaining a culture requires research to develop and preserve the existing culture in Kandis District, especially in the Sunday market area. The issues raised in This research is how the form of presentation of the traditional Batak tor-tor dance is Kandis District, Siak Regency. This study aims to determine the form of presentation of the tor-tor dance, Kandis District, Siak Regency, the theory that used, namely According to Aminudin (2010:14) the form of dance presentation that can be seen from single dance, pair dance, mixed/mass dance. Use the concept of Y.Sumandio Hadi (2014) uses components of the form of dance presentation penyajian tor-tor, the technique of presenting the form of the tor-tor dance, and the content of the presentation of the tor-tor dance. The research method used by the researcher is descriptive analysis research, with a qualitative approach. While the data collection techniques used The techniques used are observation, documentation, and interviews. Research result obtained in the form of descriptive data. The sample in this study are totaling 5 people consisting of the tor-tor dance teacher, tor-tor dance dancer, and representatives of the people of Kandis District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. Results Tor-tor dance research shows that the form of presentation of tor-tor dance can seen from the variety of movements of the tor-tor dance, dynamics of the tor-tor dance, the pattern of the tor-tor dance floor, tor-tor dance costumes, tor-tor dance make-up, tor-tor dance properties, and musical accompaniment gondang to dance. We can also find the tor-tor dance at the ceremony Batak tribal wedding customs.
