Abstract

The research conducted by the author regarding "Implementation of Choir Technique Extracurricular at SD Methodist Pekanbaru City, Riau Province" The research method used is descriptive analysis method with qualitative data, the reason is because this method involves directly the object being studied. Automatically interact more with teachers (coaches) and students who are sampled. The implementation of extracurricular activities at SD Methodits uses the demonstration method. The infrastructure in the implementation of extracurricular activities at SD Methodist includes a room, keyboard, cellphone, speaker, laptop. Vocal technique is a way of processing sound from physical properties that trains voice in vocal exercises, by focusing on breathing techniques, posture, articulation, articulation techniques, resonance, pharasing, vibrato, intonation and good dynamics. This is the most important thing to apply in singing in the choir. The results of the research on the implementation of the Choir Extracurricular at Methodist Elementary School, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province going very well, then the implementation of extracurricular activities can achieve the implementation objectives, namely students can develop students' interests and talents and become an added value for students and schools. Students take part in the extracurricular implementation of choral vocal techniques by directly practicing them. although at the beginning of the practice the students had a little difficulty in practicing the vocal techniques that were taught correctly, but with persistence they were able to use the vocal choral technique well. So that it can be seen when singing using the correct vocal technique, resulting in a good, good, beautiful and maximum sound quality compared to when singing carelessly.
