Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in long-term badminton service learning using the TGT type cooperative method in class VIII A 09 Dumai State Middle School. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. The form of this research is classroom action research. The population in this study were all students of class VIII A of SMP Negeri 9 Dumai and the sample in this study was class VIII A of SMP Negeri 9 Dumai which amounted to 24 people. The sample selection technique in this study is total sampling. ata collection techniques in this study were carried out by observation techniques, library techniques and measurement techniques. The data analysis technique uses performance tests, namely doing long badminton service practices, then the results of the tests are assessed based on the assessment rubric. Based on the results of the study, from the implementation of the first cycle there were 12 students who achieved the KKM score (50%), and 12 students who had not yet reached the KKM score (50%). Followed by the implementation of the second cycle and the results increased with the number of 20 students who reached KKM (83.33%), and 4 students who had not yet reached KKM (16.67%). Thus it can be concluded that there is an increase in long service learning using the TGT method in class VIIIA SMP Negeri 9 Dumai.
