Abstract

Learning outcomes have an important role in the learning process. This is because learning outcomes can be used as benchmarks to find out how far changes in students. Reasons for choosing parents' attention to learning outcomes because results are the end of the learning process. This makes the writer interested in conducting research on the Effect of Parents' Attention on Indonesian Language Learning Outcomes Grade VIII Students of MTsN 1 Pekanbaru in Academic Year 2018/2019. The problem discussed in this study is whether there is parental attention and whether there is an influence of parental attention on the learning outcomes of Indonesian students in class VIII MTsN 1 Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze and conclude the influence of parents' attention on the learning outcomes of Indonesian students of class VIII MTsN 1 Pekanbaru. The theory used is the theory of parental attention described by Uno (2009). The method in this study is the correlation method. This type of research is field research. The approach used is a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study are using observation techniques, questionnaire techniques and interviews. While the data analysis technique used is using moment product correlation statistics. The sample in this study were students of class VIII MTsN 1 Pekanbaru, totaling 117 students. So, from the results of this study it can be concluded the influence of parents' attention on students of class VIII MTsN 1 Pekanbaru. The effect between the two variables is classified as very low with the moment product correlation value being 12.9. and seen from how much influence the attention of parents to learning outcomes is assessed from the percentage coefficient that is 16.68% while the remaining 83.32% is another factor outside this study.
