Abstract

The Influence of the Think Pair Share (TPS) Cooperative Learning Model on the Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Class VIII Students of SMP Negeri 10 Mandau Sukma Asma'ul Husna NPM. 156410897 Thesis of FKIP Mathematics Education Study Program. Riau Islamic University. Main Advisor: Putri Wahyuni, S.Pd., M.Pd. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 10 Mandau. This research is a quasi-experimental research using the Pretest Posttest Control Group Design research design. Class VIII3 as an experimental class using a Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model and VIII5 as a control class using a conventional learning model. The data collection technique used is a test technique in the form of pretest and posttest. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis, inferential analysis and t-test. The results showed that there was a difference between the mathematics learning outcomes of the experimental class students and the control class students. This can be seen from the calculation tcount > ttable, (tcount = 13,619; ttable = 1,998) according to the criteria, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Based on this, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 10 Mandau.
