Abstract

This study entitled "The Ability of Class X IPS Students of SMA Negeri 1 Perhentian Raja, Perhentian Raja District, Kampar Regency, Academic Year 2018/2019 in Writing Negotiating Texts". The problems in this study are: 1) how the ability of IPS grade X students of SMA Negeri 1 Perhentian Raja Subdistrict Perhentian Raja Kampar Regency in the academic year 2018/2019 in writing negotiating texts based on the Submission structure 2) how the ability of IPS grade X students of SMA Negeri 1 Perhentian Raja Subdistrict Stop of Raja Kampar Regency 2018/2019 academic year in writing negotiating texts based on the structure of the offer 3) how the ability of class X IPS students of SMA Negeri 1 Perhentian Raja District Perhentian Raja Kampar Regency 2018/2019 academic year in writing negotiating texts based on the approval structure. This study aims to determine the level of ability of each student in writing negotiating texts based on submission, offer, and approval. The method in this research is descriptive. This type of research is the field of research and uses a quantitative approach. The results of this study indicate that the ability of IPS grade X students of SMA Negeri 1 Perhentian Raja academic year 2018/2019 in writing negotiating texts based on the category submission structure is very good with an average value of 86. Thus the hypothesis that reads the ability of class X IPS students of SMA Negeri 1 Perhentian Raja Perhentian Raja District Kampar Regency 2018/2019 academic year in writing negotiating texts based on the submission structure with less categories on the hypothesis of this study was rejected. The ability of IPS class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Perhentian Raja in 2018/2019 in writing negotiating texts based on a good category offering structure with an average value of 77. Thus the hypothesis which reads the ability of IPS grade X students of SMA Negeri 1 Perhentian Raja Perhentian Raja District Kampar 2018/2019 school year in writing negotiating texts based on the structure of the offer with the category less on the research hypothesis was rejected. The ability of IPS grade X students of SMA Negeri 1 Perhentian Raja in 2018/2019 in writing negotiating texts based on the approval structure of category is very good with an average value of 84. Thus the hypothesis that reads the ability of IPS grade X students of SMA Negeri 1 Perhentian Raja Perhentian Raja District Kampar Regency 2018/2019 academic year in writing negotiating texts based on the approval structure with the category lacking in the research hypothesis was rejected.
