Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how to improve the learningoutcomes of dance arts (saman dance) through the cooperative learning model type STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) in class VIII.1 Pekanbaru Public Middle School 358/2019 academic year. The learning model is a method used by the teacher to convey the material in the teaching and learning process, therefore the problem of research is that the learning model applied by the teacher has not been effective and efficient so that students seem less enthusiastic about learning. The formulation of the problem of this research is how to increase the Learning Outcomes of Dance Culture Art Subjects (Saman Dance) through the STAD Cooperative Learning Model (Student Team Achievement Division) in class VIII.1 Pekanbaru SMP Negeri 35 ?. This research is a classroomaction research (CAR) carried out with 4 steps, namely planning, action, observation / observation and reflection. Learning is carried out with 2 cycles, the first cycle is held 4 times and the second cycle is held 2 times with the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) which is 75. The results of this study show that there were 21 students who did not complete the cognitive, affective and psychomotor with classical completeness of 43.24%, in the first cycle the number of students who did not complete in the cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains decreased as many as 6 students with classical completeness of 83.78%, and in the second cycle students were only 1 student who was incomplete in the realm cognitive, affective and psychomotor with classical completeness of 97.29%. So that by applying the cooperative learning model type STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) in class VIII.1 Pekanbaru State Middle School 35 can improve the learning outcomes of dance art culture (saman dance) in that class with the KKM that has been determined, namely 75.
