Abstract

Feminism is a theory of equality between men and women in the political, economic, and social fields or in organized activities fighting for women's rights and interests. Author's reasons took research with the title "Analysis of Feminism in Novel Genduk the work of Sundari Mardjuki "caused by the novel's telling about the story of the life of a little girl named Anisa Nooraeni or familiarly called as Genduk. In this novel there are aspects of feminism, among others from aspects of personality of female characters, aspects of the role of female characters and the injustice of female figures. Research problems are (1) How feminism aspects of the personality of the female character in the novel Genduk by Sundari Mardjuki, (2) How is feminism the aspect of the role of female characters in the novel Sundung Mardjuki's work, and (3) How is injustice against the female character in the novel Genduk by Sundari Mardjuki. Research This aims to find out how feminism aspects of the personality of the character the woman in Sundari Mardjuki's Genduk novel, how aspects of feminism the role of female characters in the novel Genduk by Sundari Mardjuki, and injustice to the female character in Sundari's novel Genduk Mardjuki. In research on "Analysis of Feminism in the Novel Genduk by Sundari Mardjuki ", the writer holds Sugihastuti's theory (2000), Soenarjati Djajanegara (2000) and Fakih theory (2013). The research approach the authors use are qualitative approaches, descriptive methods, techniques read, record and conclude data collection. The results of this study conclude that overall the personality of the female characters in the novel Genduk works Sundari Mardjuki found a personality that is Genduk has a personality who are caring, diligent, kind, caring, clever, polite, understandable, brave and patient. Yung have a personality of masculinity, angry, simple, stubborn, bitchy, fierce, and workmanlike. Ms. As has a gentle personality, and Jirah has fearful personality. The role of the female character in the novel Genduk Karya Sundari Mardjuki, i.e. there are roles of female characters as parents / mothers and roles women as wives and roles as family members (as children). Accordingly overall in this novel there is gender inequality in female characters in the novel Genduk by Sundari Mardjuki is: injustice in the form marginalization, subordination, stereotyping, violence, and gender workload.
