Abstract
This thesis is titled "Ethics and Social Conflicts in Eka's Male Tiger Novel Kurniawan ". In general, the purpose of this study is to obtain data and analyze about the ethical aspects and social conflict found in the novel Lelaki Harimau by Eka Kurniawan Specifically is to describe, analyze, interpret in detail the data obtained. The scope of this research including literary criticism, especially in the study of sociology of literature. Then in restrictions problems that include aspects of ethics and social conflict, this study uses an approach qualitataif with the type of library research research and the method used is descriptive analytic method, so that according to the purpose of the problem systematically and detailed in collecting and analyzing data. Data collection technique This research uses documentation and hermeneutic techniques, namely reading, note taking, and conclude The theory used in this study is Rene Wellek (1989), Salam (2000), Soekanto (2013), Semi (2013), Nurgiantoro (2013). The results of the study concluded that in the novel Lelaki Harimau by Eka Kurniawan is as follows 1) Aspects ethics in the novel Lelaki Harimau by Eka Kurniawan there are three parts, namely: ethics about responsibilities, ethics about obligations, and ethics about conscience. Ethical aspects in the novel Lelaki Harimau by Eka Kurniawan there are 7 citations on ethical data about responsibility, 8 citations on ethical data about obligations, and 15 citations on ethical data about conscience. 2) Social Conflicts in Eka Kurniawan's Lelaki Harimau novel are 29 data citation.
