Abstract

Lack of teacher ability in utilizing the available learning support facilities in the form of projectors, laptops, good electricity. Video media is a tool used to convey learning material through moving images, so it is quite interesting and effective if used as additional media in the 2013 curriculum. Attractive video media can create a pleasant atmosphere for students in the learning process. Therefore, this study aims to develop animation-based video media and determine the assessments of six experts consisting of two material experts, two linguists and two media experts. This research is research and development using a simplified 4D model into three stages, namely (Define, Design, and Development). The data collection instrument was in the form of a questionnaire given to material experts, linguists and media experts to test the validity. The type of data obtained from the results of the study is qualitative data which is analyzed using quantitative data in the form of numerical data and is interpreted with assessment criteria guidelines to determine product quality. The results of this study, produced animated video media products that have met the very valid criteria with an average score of 90% material experts, 88% linguists and 92.5% media experts with very valid criteria. It can be concluded that the criteria obtained by the animated video media are very valid, so they can be used at the elementary school level as a learning medium for students.
