Abstract
The purpose of this study is to describe the relationship between motivation learning about Indonesian Language learning outcomes for Grade VII students of SMPN 1 Bandar Seikijang, Bandar Seikijang District, Pelalawan Regency. The theory used in this study stated by Sardiman regarding indicators of motivation. The samples in this study were 66 grade VII students students from grades VII 1 to VII 6. The research methods used by Researchers are quantitative research methods. The approach of this research is descriptive statistical research. While this type of research is analytical study correlation. Data collection techniques use a questionnaire with scale likert. The result of this study is the motivation of students learning at SMPN 1 Bandar Seikijang are in the high category with a percentage of 78.18%. Strength of the relationship between Learning motivation and learning outcomes are in the range between (-0,200, - 0,295, -0,399) which has a high relationship, or by looking at it a significance value that is smaller than the 5% requirement is 0.050 < 0.016. The coefficient of determination (R2) is obtained at 87.50% which if it can be concluded that the learning motivation variable has an influence by 87.50% of student learning outcomes.
