Abstract

Writing is an important activity in the world of education. Therefore Writing is one of the main activities of students. The title of this research is "The Ability to Write Criminal News Texts for Class VIII Middle School Students N One Roof Sungai Rukam Kab. Indragiri Hilir Academic Year 2018/2019 ". Reason the author takes this title because the ability to write important news is owned so students can provide information to other people, besides writing news can also add someone's insight. The problem with this research is (1) What is the ability of the eighth grade students of Sungai Satu Oneapap SMP Rukam, Indragiri Hilir Regency in compiling news topics? (2) How is the ability of students of class VIII River One Roof River Junior High School Rukam Indragiri Hilir Regency in arranging the headlines into short, concise and clear news? This research aims to describe, analyze, and interpret the ability of students of class VIII SMP One The roof of Sungai Rukam district. Indragiri Hilir in (1) Arrange the main points news, (2) Arranging the headlines into short, concise, clear news. The method used is descriptive. The theory used is Dalman's theory, Romli, Tarigan, Chaer, Panggabean, Barus, Harahap, Djuraid. Research technique this is observation and test technique. Based on data analysis, the ability of eighth grade students of Sungai Rukam One Roof Junior Secondary School district Indragiri Hilir in compiling news items for the 2018/2019 school year is 74.7 (enough categories). The ability of eighth grade students of One Roof Junior Secondary School Sungai Rukam, Indragiri Hilir Regency in arranging news headlines to be short, concise, and clear news The school year 2018/2019 is 64.7 (moderate category). Hypothesis which states the ability to compile data news items for eighth grade students of Sungai Rukam One Roof Junior High School, Kab. Indragiri Hilir in the 2018/2019 school year is sufficient with a scale of 66 up to 75 can be accepted. Hypothesis which states the ability to string the headline data becomes news that is concise, concise, and clear to students class VIII Sungai Rukam One Roof Junior High School Kab. Indragiri Hilir year 2018/2019 teachings are categorized enough with a scale of 66 to 75 rejected because the average obtained after conducting the study was 64.7 (categorized medium).
