Abstract

Pekanbaru City is the largest city in Riau Province besides the city of Pekanbaru as a city with a high rate of migration and urbanization growth, thus the development that occurs is also higher. Based on the data that the writer got from the Pekanbaru City Statistics Agency, the number of people in the city has reached one soul, with the increase in the number of people who are crowded in the city of Pekanbaru it will automatically force the building and residential facilities to be increased. In 2016 the city government of Pekanbaru had declared that Pekanbaru would be free from the problems of slum areas, but in reality up to now it was not in accordance with the plans that had been carried out institutionally by the Public Housing and Settlement Areas in the city of Pekanbaru, based on the Pekanbaru Mayor Regulation No 95 Th 2016 is a regional work unit that carries a portion of regional government affairs in the field of housing and settlements. Therefore, the Public Housing and Urban Settlements Agency Pekanbaru has a Healthy Environment Housing program. The purpose of this study was to determine the evaluation of the Healthy Environment Housing program by the Department of Public Housing and Settlement Areas, and to find out what are the factors inhibiting the Healthy Environment Housing program by the Department of Public Housing and Settlement Areas. The methodology used in this study is quantitative with descriptive research type. In overcoming the problem of slums, it is measured by five indicators, namely: effectiveness, adequacy, equity, responsiveness, and accuracy. Types and data collection techniques consisting of primary data collected using questionnaire and interview lists and secondary data techniques that were collected with observation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the Healthy Environment Housing program by the Department of Public Housing and Settlement Areas is quite good.
