Abstract

Learning outcomes in a student are not only influenced in terms of intelligence but from the lack of motivation for these students. Based on the results of initial observations made in class VIII SMP N 34 Pekanbaru some students have low motivation towards social studies lessons which can be seen from the lack of active students in learning, but the low motivation to learn students but does not have an impact on student learning outcomes in social studies subjects because student learning outcomes, especially in social studies subjects above average. Students who are highly motivated in learning are likely to get higher learning outcomes, meaning that the higher the motivation, the more intensity of effort and effort they make, the higher the learning outcomes they will get. The formulation of the problem in this study is whether learning motivation has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP N 34 Pekanbaru. This study aims to analyze the effect of learning motivation on the learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP N 34 Pekanbaru. This study uses quantitative research using survey methods. The data collection used in this study consisted of a questionnaire and documentation. The results of the study concluded that there was a significant effect of learning motivation on student learning outcomes in Class VIII at SMP Negeri 34 Pekanbaru.
