Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the family environment and learning motivation on accounting learning achievement of class XII students in the academic year 2020/2021 at SMA Negeri 1 Pasir Pengaraian. The methodology used in this research is correlation research with a quantitative approach. The total population in this study amounted to 138 students with a sample of 103 students of class XII IPS at SMA Negeri 1 Pasir Pengaraian. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire that was processed using IBM SPSS Statistics version 22.00 for windows. The technique of determining the sample uses the total sampling technique. The instrument test used was validity test, reliability test, normality test, regression test, and hypothesis test. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis, normality prerequisite test. Hypothesis testing is done by using the t test and f test and the coefficient of determination (R2). The results of the research on the correlation test showed that the value of Fcount was 13.932 with a value of Ftable was 3.09 so that the value of Fcount> Ftable or 13.932> 3.09, with a significant level of 0.000 <0.05 then H0 was rejected and H3 was accepted, it can be concluded that the Environmental Family (X1) and Learning Motivation (X2) simultaneously have a significant effect on student achievement at SMA Negeri 1 Pasir Pengaraian. The coefficient of determination (R2) is at the Adjusted R Square value of 0.202. This means that the ability of the independent variables in explaining the dependent variable is 20.2%, the remaining 79.8% is explained by other variables not discussed in this study.
