Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of seventh grade students at Integrated Islamic Middle School Primary Persons 2 Pekanbaru through the implementation of learning using the Inquiry method. Data collection techniques used in this study were interview techniques, observation techniques, practice techniques, documented techniques and test techniques. While the data analysis techniques used are descriptive data analysis techniques. The research subjects in this study were seventh grade students of Integrated Islamic Middle School Main Persons 2 Pekanbaru. Based on the data obtained from the results of research that has been done, at the initial test stage, from 28 students there were 12 students who completed individually with classical completeness of 46.42% and 15 students did not complete individually with classical completeness of 53.57%. In the first cycle of the data obtained it can be said that from 28 students there were 21 students who completed individually with classical completeness 75% and 7 students who did not complete with 25% classical completeness. In the second cycle of 8 students there were 26 students who completed individually with classical completeness of 92.85% and 2 students who did not complete individually with classical completeness of 7.14%. From the assessment of the initial test, cycle I and cycle II that have been carried out by the researcher, it can be concluded that the application of learning with the Inquiry method can improve student learning outcomes in the saman dance arts subjects in class VI of Integrated Islamic Middle School 2 in Pekanbaru.
