Abstract

With a very good (good) category. in the good category (good enough). Then the average ability of the individual students after using the Peer Tutor method in the second cycle was 41.66 in the sufficient (less good) category. Furthermore, the average value of individual abilities of students after using the Peer Tutor method in the first cycle is 25The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of Lenggang Patah Sembilan dancing skills through Peer Tutor Method in class VII.4 Pekanbaru Muhammadiyah 2 Middle School Academic Year 2018-2019. Students' dance skills are assessed based on 3 elements, namely wiraga, wirama, and wirasa. a) Wiraga is a memorization of the order of motion, accuracy of motion, and flexibility. b) Wirama is having a musical sensitivity, namely sensitivity in harmonizing the rhythm of gestures with the rhythm of music or harmonizing the rhythm of motion of other dancers. c) Wirasa is able to appreciate and express the role and character of dance characters. The type of this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) in the form of Quantitative Descriptive which is observing and increasing the dancing ability of students in the class. The research subjects were all students of class VII.4 of Muhammadiyah Middle School 2 Pekanbaru, which amounted to 24 students. This study uses data collection techniques namely interviews, teacher and student observation, practice tests. This research was conducted from February-March 2019, and this research was conducted in two cycles, eight meetings. There was an increase in individual abilities of students before using the Peer Tutor method in the trial phase, which was 4.16
