Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the Camat's Task in Coordinating Community Empowerment Activities in Kampar Kiri Hulu Subdistrict Kampuat Kabuaten Kampar and to find out the obstacles of the Camat's Duties as Coordinator of Community Empowerment Activities in Kampar Kiri Hulu Subdistrict. This type of research is a descriptive survey using a questionnaire as a means of gathering and then interviews with key informants as data equipment and observations to determine the location and empowerment activities that have been carried out by the Kampar Kiri Hulu District government. The respondents of this study were the District Government of Kampar Kiri Hulu District consisting of the District Head, the Community Empowerment Section, the Village Head and the Kampar Kiri Hulu District Community, totaling 43 samples. The data analysis of this study was conducted in quantitative descriptive using frequency tabulation. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the Camat's Task in Coordinating Community Empowerment Activities in Kampar Kiri Hulu Subdistrict Kampar Regency in general is quite good. The results of this study were obtained through research on coordination variables consisting of 4 (four) indicators, namely: holding an official meeting, appointing a team, making a guidebook and holding an informal meeting
