Abstract

Regional Regulation of Indragiri Hilir Regency Number 20 of 2011 concerning Waste Management in which the Office of the Environment and Cleanliness of Indragiri Hilir is obliged to carry out its tasks in waste management, while the achievement of achieving the duties of the Office of the Environment and Cleanliness of Indragiri Hilir include the Effectiveness, Efficiency, Adequacy, Smoothness, Responsiveness and Responsibility Accuracy. The purpose of this study was to determine the Implementation of the Tasks of the Environment and Hygiene Indragiri Hilir Office in Waste Management in Tembilahan District and to know the obstacles to the Implementation of the Tasks of the Environmental and Hygiene Indragiri Hilir Service in the Waste Management in Tembilahan District. The research method used is a quantitative combination of qualitative methods. The results of the implementation of the tasks of the Office of the Environment and Cleanliness of Indragiri Hilir in Waste Management in Tembilahan District through the six indicators are in the gori words "Fairly Implemented" with an average value of 24 with a percentage of 63%. It is known that the implementation of the duties of the Environment and Cleanliness Agency of Indragiri Hilir in Waste Management in Tembilahan Sub-district has not yet been implemented in terms of the transportation of garbage starting from the temporary garbage collection place to the temporary garbage collection place, there is no garbage bin improvement, and there is no cooperation with the community. resulting in a buildup of rubbish and rubbish littered out of place. But the authors suggest that the Office of the Environment and Hygiene Indragiri Hilir in Waste Management in accordance with their duties and functions as well as supervise in order not to occur littering, and set the time of transporting waste in accordance with the stipulations that have been established and collaborate with the community in waste management.
