Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning process and improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class X students of Ibn Taimiyah Pekanbaru's OTKP through the application of the Search Solve Create Share (SSCS) learning model. The subjects of this study were students of class X OTKP SMK Ibnu Taimiyah Pekanbaru in 2018/2019 academic year which amounted to 18 students with heterogeneous characteristics and academic abilities. The form of this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of two cycles. Data collection techniques in this study are learning outcomes testing techniques and observation techniques. Tests of learning outcomes were analyzed by quantitative analysis. While the observation technique in the form of observation sheets was analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The qualitative analysis shows an increase in the learning process and student mathematics learning outcomes. Improvement of the learning process can be seen from the teacher and student activity sheet. For example the teacher has been able to control students in group learning and students have begun to be confident when presentations and actively ask questions when the teaching process takes place. The results of the study obtained an average student learning outcomes in the first cycle was 66.72 with classical completeness 44.44%. The average student learning outcomes in the second cycle is 71.38 with 61.11% classical completeness. This is seen to increase compared to the students' basic scores before the action, namely with an average of 62.16 with classical completeness of 33.33%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the Application of Search Solve Create Share (SSCS) Learning Model can improve the learning process and improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class X Ibnu Taimiyah SMK OTKP Pekanbaru.
