Abstract
Based on the data obtained from the Coral Taruna has been a decline in the participation of coral Taruna to the community. This has to do with the organization that carries out this task, namely the Coral Taruna. As for the function of the coral Taruna according to local regulations No. 3 year 2016 about the village of Coral Taruna is as a duty helper village chief that has the task of organizing the community especially the young generation in the environment. But in this case the function of the coral Taruna is still experiencing problems that can be seen from the decline of the belief of people in the coral Taruna. The purpose of the research is to know the function of the coral Taruna and to the barriers experienced by the corals in carrying out its duties. This type of research is quantitative descriptive, the location in this study in the village of Diamond District of Kunto Darussalam Rokan Hulu District, the population of this research is the entire management of cadets a - ++++++++++++++++++++++- nd communities. This research data is taken by spreading the questionnaire and then collected and analyzed according to the problem. Based on the results showed that most of the indicators of the question regarding the participation of coral Taruna in carrying out its function in the village of Diamond City Kunto Darussalam districts Rokan Hulu is still in the category "Good enough"
