Abstract

Action research classroom action research was conducted in two cycles. The research was carried on the XI MIPA 5 SMA Negeri 2 Siak Hulu which consisted of 33 students of 17 female students and 16 male students. Instruments used in this study are teacher activity sheets and students activity sheets and learning outcomes tests obtained from daily tests 2. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation techniques and test techniques. The analisys techniques used in this study are qualitative data analysis. The results of the study showed an increased in the mathematics learning outcomes of students of class XI MIPA 5 SMA Negeri 2 Siak Hulu. This can be seen from the number of students who completed basic score, namely 26 out of 33 students or 78,78%. Increase in daily test 1, amounting to 27 from 33 students or 81,81%. Then increased again on daily test 2 namely 31 from 33 students or 93,93%. The result of the study show that the application of the cooperative learning model of the tsts type can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of the XI MIPA 5 SMA Negeri 2 Siak Hulu second semester school year 2018/2019.
