Abstract

This study aims to improve students' psychomotor abilities after application Project Based Learning (PjBL) models, at grade VIII SMP Negeri 18 Pekanbaru, lesson year 2016/2017. This research was conducted in SMP Negeri 18 Pekanbaru Oktober until November, 2016. The subjects of the study were students of class VIII A SMP Negeri 18 Pekanbaru, which amounted to 41 students. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). Data were analyzed descriptively, with absorption, individual completeness, classical mastery. The results of data analysis using for psychomotoric value obtained by absorption of students has increased (3,4%) from the prior CAR namely 75,9% to 79,3% first cycle, and an increase of 6,85% to 85,5% after the second cycle. Klasikal of students to the value of psychomotoric to increase 19,5% from the prior CAR namely 65,9% to 85,4% in the first cycle, and increased by 9,7% to 95,1% after the second cycle. Based on the results and discussion can be concluded that the application of Project Based Learning (PjBL) can improve he psychomotor abilityin biology students at class VIII A SMP Negeri 18 Pekanbaru lesson year 2016/2017.
