Abstract

Gambling is a behavior that involves the risk of losing something valuable and involving social interaction and the freedom to choose whether or not to risk losing it. In this research aims to study or find out and analyze the causes of gambling in Siak Hulu Village X Village and what efforts are made by youth leaders and the surrounding community to overcome gambling crime in the village X. This research is a contribution of thought in providing information to interested parties. In order to create a gambling replication effort in Village X. In this study the author uses a qualitative research type. Data sources obtained directly from the actors and the surrounding community. The results of this study indicate that there are several causes of gambling in Village X of Siak Hulu Subdistrict, among them due to habitual factors, weak religious teachings, environmental conditions, and less than optimal law enforcement factors. Based on the main object of sociology is to study the relationship between the community and its members between groups either because of a place or ethnic relationship with members between groups and groups as long as the relationship can lead to crime.
