Abstract
This study aims to describe the implementation of class VIII science learning in Pekanbaru Junior High School 2018/2019 Academic Year. This data collected was carried out in October 2018 which was obtained by distributing questionnaires complited based on the teacher competency 2, namely pedagogic competence and teacher professional competence divided into 30 statements regarding the implementation of science learning in class VIII which was equipped with choices the answer and some answers to reinforce answers which is given. Respondents in the study were 83 students of class VIII in Pekanbaru Junior High School 2018/2019 academic year. Processing data using descriptive analysis. The results of the study on the implementation of class VIII science learning at 33 State Junior High School Pekanbaru Academic Year 2018/2019, then the percentage was obtained: in the aspect of pedagogical competence is 85.10% with very good categories and on aspects of professional competence is 88,02% with very well. It can be concluded that the implementation of class VIII science learning in SMP Negeri 33 Pekanbaru 2018/2019 is very good.
