Abstract

Conjunction Analysis in the Riau Pos Daily Editorial Rubric Edition 1 to 31 October This study examines the analysis of the use of conjunctions in the editorial rubric of the Riau Pos daily edition 1 to 31 October 2015. Conjunctions are connecting words that are in charge of connecting words with words, phrases with phrases, clauses with clauses, sentences with sentences and paragraphs with paragraphs. Based on the phenomena that the writer has seen and observed in the Riau Pos daily newspaper in the writing of the editorial of coordinating conjunctions and subordinating conjunctions in the Riau Pos daily editorial rubric of editions 1 to 31 October 2015 most of the sentences are correct, but there are some uses of conjunctions that are not correct. not exactly. The conjunctions analyzed by the author are coordinating conjunctions and subordinating conjunctions. The problem in this research is how to use coordinating conjunctions in the Riau Pos daily editorial rubric of editions 1 to 31 October 2015, and how to use subordinating conjunctions in the Riau Pos daily editorial rubrics 1 to 31 October 2015. The purpose of this study is to describe , analyze, interpret and conclude the use of coordinating conjunctions and subordinating conjunctions in the Riau Pos daily editorial rubric edition 1 to 31 October 2015. The theory that is used as a guide for this research is Abdul Chaer (2009) in Indonesian Language Syntax (Process Approach). The method that the author uses is a descriptive method with a qualitative research approach. The results in this study are the overall use of coordinating conjunctions contained in the Riau Pos daily editorial rubric as a whole totaling 547. The accuracy of the use of coordinating conjunctions contained in the Riau Pos daily editorial rubric a total of 470, while the use of inappropriate coordinating conjunctions amounted to 77. The overall use of subordinating conjunctions contained in the Riau Pos daily editorial rubric of editions 1 to 31 October 2015 was 349. The accuracy of the use of subordinating conjunctions contained in the editorial Riau Pos daily edition 1 to 31 October 2015 amounted to 326, while the use of inappropriate subordinating conjunctions amounted to 23.
