Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine and explain the role of village-owned enterprises in encouraging the economy in Intan City Village, Kunto Darussalam District, Rokan Hulu Regency. This research was conducted in the village of Intan city, Kunto darussalam district, Rokan Hulu Regency. The problem in this study is how the role of village-owned enterprises in driving the village economy in the village of Intan Kunto Darussalam, Rokan Hulu Regency. Data collection techniques that the authors use in this study are observation, questionnaire, interview, and documentation techniques. This type of research used in this study is a descriptive survey that describes the actual situation of what is available at the time of the study, so that the data obtained through data collection techniques is used as a basic reference for analyzing each indicator variable studied in quantitative terms, which can be interpreted as research based on the philosophy of positivism, and used to examine populations and certain samples, data collection using research instruments, data analysis is quantitative in order to test the hypothesis that has been applied, in this study using linkert scale measurement techniques. The population in this study was 285 and a sample of 30 people. From the measurement results of each of the sub-variables of the research conducted, it can be stated that the role of village-owned enterprises in driving the village economy in the village of diamonds is carried out in the category of sufficient roles based on the results of questionnaire distribution and author's observations, namely that there are still many things that are needs to be done in order to improve the economy such as having to add business units, and must focus on the poor and needy, and not too prioritize the benefits of the business units that are run.
