Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of sub-district coordination with the police in securing juvenile delinquency in Tualang Subdistrict of Siak Regency. Coordination assessment indicators used include communication, awareness of the importance of coordination, competency of the HR involved, agreement, commitment and coordination incentives, and continuity of planning. The coordination is intended to overcome the problem of juvenile delinquency cases that have occurred in many districts of this adventure. How is the handling done by the district and the police in securing juvenile delinquency. This type of research is a descriptive survey and using quantitative methods that use data in the form of numbers. Using a purposive sampling method for employees of the Trual District Section of the Tualang District Office, members of the Tualang District Police Criminal Unit and the community of the Tualang District. Types of data sources in this study are primary data that is data obtained from interviews and questionnaires, and secondary data that is data that has been available at this research agency. Data collection techniques in this study are, interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. While the data analysis technique is to describe the numerical words of one variable with the distribution (distribution) of frequency with ordinal level data, the distribution of numerical data is analyzed based on the weight and number of respondents, the type of measurement scale in this study uses a Likert scale used to get the perception percentage of one indicators, measures of perception are taken and analyzed based on the range of measurements formulated. The results showed that the implementation of sub-district coordination with the police in securing juvenile delinquency in Tualang sub-district of Siak district had been quite accomplished. Because the juvenile delinquency case can be handled even though the response given from the sub-district with the police is slow. As contained in the five indicators of coordination used, the implementation of coordination between the camat and the police has been carried out even though it has not been implemented to the maximum, so that it is in the category of being sufficiently implemented. Recommendations that need to be considered are that the sub-district and the police should improve the implementation of coordination such as increased socialization to adolescents and communities in the subdistrict of Tualang and routine conducting raids, conducting spot checks, and giving good and fast responses to reports in given by the community.
