Abstract
Verbs of Riau Malay Dialect Baturijal Hilir, Peranap District, Indragiri Hulu Regency The existence of regional languages is increasingly threatened by its sustainability. This situation is driven by the existence of cultural assimilation in society. Cultural assimilation causes the mixing of regional languages with elements of foreign languages, so that a linguistic study of regional languages needs to be carried out. The purpose of this study was to describe and find out data and information about verbs in Riau Malay dialect Batu Rijal Hilir, Peranap District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. The data that has been collected will be described, analyzed, and interpreted in detail and systematically so that verbs can be identified in terms of their form in Riau Malay dialect Batu Rijal Hilir, Peranap District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. The method used in this research is the ethnographic method. The research approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews, observations, recordings, and notes. The results of this study indicate that (1) Verbs in terms of form in Riau Malay Dialect Batu Rijal Hilir, Peranap District, Indragiri Hulu Regency consist of: (a) Verb origin, this original verb is in Riau Malay Dialect Batu Rijal Hilir, Peranap District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. there are thirty data found. Example: [sesa?] 'shortness', [ado] 'ada', [bǝli] 'buy', [balǝ?] 'go home', [bayǝ] 'pay', [tuloƞ] 'please', [pǝcah] ' broke', [gugu] 'fall', [kojo] 'work', [bagƐh] 'beri', [teƞgelam] 'sink'. (2) Derived verbs are verbs that are formed through transposition, affixation, reduplication or compounding. Verbs derived from Riau Malay dialect Batu Rijal Hilir, Peranap District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, consist of: (a) Prefix {meN-}, for example: [meniƞok] 'see', prefix {meN-} with allomorphs {meƞ}, for example: [meƞidup] 'live'. (b) Prefix {ba-}, for example: [babuñi] 'sounds'. (c) Prefix {te-}, for example: [tegayut] 'depends'. (d) Confix {di-}, for example: [dibuƞ?us] 'wrapped'. (e) Confix {di-an}, for example: [dilǝta?kan] 'put', (f) Suffix {-an}, for example: [ambe?an] 'take'. (g) Reduplication of all verbs, for example: [buda?-buda?] 'children'. This shows that the Riau Malay Language Verb in Batu Rijal Hilir Dialect, Peranap District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, in terms of its form, there are two verbs, namely the original verb and the derived verb.
