Abstract
Lacan's Psychoanalysis in the Novel Rain of the Moon June by Sapardi Djoko Damono The development of psychoanalytic theory was developed by Jacques Lacan who known as a modern theory centered on the imaginary or imajan, symbols and symbols real. The reason the author took the research with the title "Psychoanalysis Lacan" in the November Rain Novel by Sapardi Djoko Damono” because the novel This story is about a couple who are in a deep relationship cultural and religious differences. In this novel there are stages of development personality and character conflicts. The problem of this research is (1) how the personality of the character in the novel Rain of the Month of June by Sapardi Djoko Damono viewed from the imaginary, symbolic, and real phases, and (2) how the conflict of the characters in the novel Rain of the Month of June by Sapardi Djoko Damono based on the review literary psychoanalysis. This study aims to describe, analyze, and interpreting data on personality development and character conflict in the novel Rain Month June by Sapardi Djoko Damono. In this research the author adheres to the theory of Jacques Lacan in Mana Sikana (2005), Nurgiyantoro (2000), Dwi Susanto (2012), Hamidy Law (2001). Approach The research that the author uses is a qualitative approach, descriptive method, data collection techniques read, record and conclude. The results of this study concluded that there was no character who told his life in childhood, namely at the stage of imagination. There are two characters who experiencing a symbolic personality, namely: (1) Sarwono, Sarwono's personality is abstinence give up, stand firm, Sarwono's personality is fearful, and passionate. (2) Pingkan has a smart, assertive and loving personality. Furthermore, there are three (3) characters who experience real personality, namely: (1) Sarwono who has realistic personality, (2) Budiman, who has a confident personality and (3) Pingkan who has a cheerful personality. Then there are two conflicts namely internal and external. The internal conflict in the novel novel namely experienced by Sarwono and Pingkan. While the external conflict that contained in the novel, namely: (1) Pingkan with Sarwono, (2) Sarwono with Dewi, and (3) Sarwono with Katsuo.
