Abstract
This study was classroom action research. This research purposed to improve students’ cognitive learning outcomes grade VII.4 SMPN 4 Pekanbaru Academic Year 2018/2019 through Application of jigsaw II by using handout. Jigsaw II can improve students’ learning outcomes. Subjects of this study were students of SMPN 4 Pekanbaru Academic Year 2018/2019 which amounted to 38 students. The measured parameter was cognitive Research Achievement (CRA) and Scientific performance. The technique of analyzing data was descriptive analyzing. The average absorption of learners before PTK was 79.5% and in the first cycle to 83.5%, so there was an increase of 4%. In the second cycle was 88.1%, so there was an increase of 4.67% from first cycle. The classical completeness before PTK was 74%. The average absorption value of students after the first cycle is 84% to 95% and an increase of 11% in the second cycle. It can be concluded that jigsaw II can improve students’ learning outcomes grade VII.4 SMPN 4 Pekanbaru Academic Year 2018/2019.
