Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out what factors caused the crime of illegal logging in Tesso Nilo National Park, Pelalawan Regency and how to tackle illegal logging in Tesso Nilo National Park, Palalawan Regency. This type of research uses a qualitative type. The research location is Tesso Nilo National Park, Pelalawan Regency. In this qualitative research, the data collection techniques in the study were obtained and then analyzed through observation and documentation. After the information and data are obtained, they are analyzed by means of grouping the data, both qualitatively. Based on these data, the writer can draw more specific conclusions to get an accurate conclusion. From the results of the research with the routine activity theory approach used by the author, there are several factors that cause illegal logging in Tesso Nilo National Park, namely 1. Economic factors 2. Environmental factors 3. Security factors. And the countermeasures carried out in Tesso Nilo National Park 1. Pre-mative efforts 2. Preventive efforts and 3. Repressive efforts to maintain and conserve forests so that they can produce energy that is beneficial to living things. Illegal logging is illegal logging without a valid permit. The act of illegal logging can damage the environment and also harm the country.
