Abstract
Property Rights (IPR) named, HAKI in Bahasa, violations are in the form of piracy, forgery, and unauthorized copying in the context of copyrights and trademarks. Copyright infringement is clearly detrimental significantly in the economic field, especially hurting the owners of intellectual property rights. If you look at the definition of piracy of books we used are listed in each book, piracy of books that attempt to reproduce the book in a way printed, photocopied or any other way without the written permission of the publisher related books, it will be found many parties who consciously or unconsciously be called hijackers. This study aimed to describe the behavior of a doubling of scientific books that often occur around the campus of the Islamic University of Riau city of Pekanbaru. This type of research is a qualitative research, with research sites around the campus of Islamic University of Riau Pekanbaru. The study used data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the research results directly doubling occurs because of demand and supply. Doubling is a rational choice that students can meet the needs of the lecture, not only can offset the cost but also easily obtained. Photocopies that are located around the campus environment provide duplication services to students and get economic benefits.
