Abstract

This study aims to describe violations against traffic flow by motorists in several places in the Bukit Raya Police Station area. The type of research used is a qualitative descriptive type with the informants in this study being the Satlantas Police, employees of the Department of Transportation, perpetrators against traffic flow and the community. Sources of data used are direct data and indirect data through data collection carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. After obtaining the required data and information, it is analyzed through qualitative data grouping. Based on these data, the writer draws an inductive conclusion where from general things a more specific conclusion is drawn to get a more accurate conclusion. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the behavior against the flow of traffic is caused by the habit of wanting to get to the destination quickly, following other drivers who are wrong, and the motivation to violate traffic. Meanwhile, in terms of behavioral deviations because they want to reach their goals quickly so that they violate the flow and the driver drives correctly if there are officers only. Meanwhile, in terms of law enforcement, preventive, and regressive efforts have been made.
