Abstract

This study aims to determine and evaluate the Program of Public Housing and Settlement Areas of Pekanbaru City in Overcoming the Problems of Slum Settlements in the City of Pekanbaru. Evaluation evaluation indicators used include effectiveness, adequacy, equity, responsiveness and accuracy. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive survey, which prioritizes questionnaire lists as a means of collecting data and data collected with this tool and then becomes the main raw material for analyzing empirical conditions and objectivity of the existence of objectives at the study site. The population and samples in this study were 38 people. The types and data collection techniques used consisted of, primary data collected using questionnaire list techniques and interviews and secondary data collected using observation techniques. While the data analysis technique used is using a frequency table tool. Based on this analysis technique the researcher assessed and concluded that the Evaluation Program of the Public Housing Service and Settlement Area of Pekanbaru City in Overcoming the Problems of Slum Settlement Areas in Pekanbaru City was categorized quite well. The inhibiting factors are the Public Housing Office and Settlement Area which rarely informs the public about a healthy housing environment. In addition, the community likes to dispose of litter, so that there is still flooding around the slum area.
