Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the role Tamping in assisting the development of the assisted citizenz in RUTAN class I Pekanbaru. This research tries to explain whether Tamping plays a role and how big it is in fostering community assisted residents. The method that i use in this research is a qualitative method. In collecting research data through observation techniques, in-depth interviews with relared sources and documentation in the form of taking photos with sources. By using the theory of punishment, one of the points is social Re-integration From the results of the research conducted by the author at the Rutan Class I Pekanbaru, it can be concluded that Tamping plays a role in assisting the develpoment of the assisted citizenz, both personality development and independence development. Among them are helping in giving teaching about religion or spirituality, taking an active role in physical activities, become a facilitator or liaison between assisted resdents and prison employees, assist employes in cleaning, and play a role in this social reintegration process namely helping the assisted residents to accelerate the process of adaptation and recovery of the assisted residents before being deployed and interacing directly with the outside community.
