Abstract

The study was carried out in an effort to indtify the causes of damage to the mangrove forest in the Desa Marok Kecil and to identity the obstacles to the prevention of the destruction of the mangrove forest in the Desa Marok Kecil. the method used in this study is a qualitative method using a descriptive type by conduction interview with key informers and informers that match the research topic. Studies suggest that the damage to the mangrove forest in the Desa Marok Kecil is caused by the activities of a large portion of communities working at the charcoal kitchen that make use of the mangrove as the main component of the charcoal production, which result in the mangrove’s mangrove being the main part of the river where the Desa Marok Kecil is destroyed. The walmet damage obstacles and prevention effort to the mangrove are due too poor supervision frome the related service, the lack of mangrove damage to the social security and the support of adequate facilities and infrastructure.
