Abstract

The coaching process certainly comes in various forms and studies that can help the Assisted Citizens to be strong and accept the punishment imposed on them. This process can also be strengthened by the presence of the role of the family in the coaching process that occurs so that the social reintegration process can run well. In the research process, the researcher compare the behavior of inmates who are frequently visited by their families with those who are rarely or never visited by their families. By using a qualitative research approach and conducting in-depth interviews with the speakers. It is explained that the role of the family is a form of influence factor whether the prisoner can become good again or evil again while serving his sentence or after completing his sentence. Although the evidence of whether the prisoner will indeed be completely good when he finishes his sentence with the intensity of frequent visits or the existence of a good intimate relationship, it needs further study. However, this intention emerged from the research sources as a good attitude or response arising from their closeness to their family.
