Abstract
Substance regarding the Implementation of Village Consultative Body Duties through the Absorption of Aspirations of the Desa Muda Setia Community, Bandar Sekijang District, Pelalawan Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine community participation in conveying aspirations through BPD in Muda Setia Village, Bandar Sekijang District, Pelalawan Regency. This research method is qualitative research. There were 5 people who were used as informants in this study. After conducting research and in-depth interviews, the conclusions from the research on the Implementation of Village Consultative Body Duties through the Absorption of Aspirations of the Community of Muda Setia Village, Bandar Sekijang District, Pelalawan Regency. That is not well implemented, namely, inhibiting factors are still encountered such as the Function of the Village Consultative Body in Discussing and Agreeing the Draft Village Regulation with the Village Head has not been running properly, because the existing BPD is not contributing and also the existing BPD members are mostly not present at the meetings with an agenda to discuss and draft village regulations. The function of the Village Consultative Body in accommodating and channeling community aspirations, in Muda Setia village, Bandar Sekijang sub-district has not yet run according to what is mandated by the Village Law Number 06 of 2014. From the results of this study, it can be seen that not all BPD members play an active role, and most BPD members do not yet know what their duties and functions are, so it is difficult for them to carry out their duties and functions in accommodating and channeling community aspirations. The function of the Village Consultative Body in Overseeing the Performance of the Village Head does not work as it should be, this happens because the existing BPD does not understand the task and their functions, so that what is their authority in supervising or controlling the performance of the Village Head has not been running properly
