Abstract

This research was carried out with the aim of analyzing the development of the dried sago cendol business in the Merbau sub-district of Meranti Riau Province. The development assessment indicators used include capital aspects, production aspects, marketing aspects, and entrepreneurial aspects. This type of research, which is located in the merbau sub-district of meranti regency is a describtive survey, namely conducting interviews as a data collection tool and the data collected is then used as the main raw material for analyzing objective conditions at the location under study. Types and data collection techniquesh used consist of primary data collected throught interviews. Based on this analysis technique the researcher assessed and concluded that the development of the dried sago cendol industry business was in the scope of the assessment which still had no development or was still in a road condition. Recommendation that need to be considered and reviewed, especially regarding matters that become obstracles in the development of industrial businesses can be confeyed. So that the development of the cendol sago dry industry in the merbau sub-district of meranti can be achieved in the future.
