Abstract

One of the transportation developments carried out by the Regional Government is by monitoring public transportation with usage standards in accordance with applicable regulations. Pekanbaru City Transportation Agency in supervising travel transportation with guard posts in every corner of the city and in and out of Pekanbaru City However, monitoring activities have not been maximized because there is no specified guarding time. This study aims to determine the supervision of the Pekanbaru City Transportation Service on Travel Transportation as well as the inhibiting factors in Supervision of Pekanbaru City Transportation Services on Travel Transportation. The research method used is descriptive quantitative, where the data collection technique used is by distributing questionnaires to respondents. The data analysis technique uses an interactive analysis model, namely reducing the data that has been collected, then presented in tabular form and then drawing conclusions. The results of the research carried out are known to be quite implemented, where it is known that the implementation of supervision in the form of guarding posts, raids, and imposing sanctions for violators of travel transportation rules. In conclusion, the supervision of travel transport has not been carried out optimally, this can be seen from the absence of arrangements for routine travel transportation supervision activities and the lack of officers guarding activities at each guard post. However, the authors suggest to the Pekanbaru City Transportation Department to establish postal guarding activities at every working hour, increase the number of officers and apply strict sanctions against travel transport owners who violate operational rules.
