Abstract

For consumers who need lodging services, they expect conveniences, speed of service and satisfying lodging quality for the lodging services they need. Like the Wisma Sumber Mas Raya (SMR) Panam Pekanbaru. The selection of Wisma Panam SMR as a research location because the authors see that this guesthouse is a guesthouse that is located very strategically in the Panam area that is bustling with various activities, especially economic and educational activities. The condition of the room occupancy sales at the Panam Pekanbaru SMR Guesthouse offered, where the sales for the last 4 years the room sales experienced fluctuations which caused a loss for Wisma SMR. With the results of the sale of room occupancy rates experiencing fluctuations, the Wisma SMR is required to be more observant in seeing its market in the room occupancy services offered. The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze the factors that influence the sale of rooms at the Wisma Sumber Mas Raya (SMR) Panam Pekanbaru and know and analyze the efforts made to increase room sales at the Wisma Sumber Mas Raya (SMR) Panam Pekanbaru. This research is a survey research (field research). This research takes place at the Pekanbaru SMR guesthouse precisely on HR Street. Subrantas Panam. The population in this study were 10 people at the Pekanbaru SMR Hotel and 30 people were staying at the Pekanbaru SMR guesthouse. Sampling of population elements from the Wisma SMR was carried out by census, except from the maintenance side was taken using random sampling techniques. Then the population from the visitors of the guesthouse was taken using simple random sampling technique. In this study, the type of data used consists of primary data and secondary data. To get the data and information needed in connection with this research, conducted by observation, interviews and questionnaires. In analyzing the author's data using descriptive methods. Based on data from the results of processed research conducted on respondents' responses to Factors Affecting Room Sales at Wisma Sumber Mas Raya (SMR) Panam Pekanbaru it can be seen that the average response of respondents by 55% with the percentage range is at 34% - 66%. This assessment is in the Fairly Good category.
