Abstract

Parkour in its development is considered as an extreme sport, because practitioners from parkour tend to display dangerous scenes on the internet. which they display on the internet is certainly a reference for other parkour practitioners including the Parkour Flow It Pekanbaru Community. In short practitioners who just want to instantly master the parkour movements instantly, of course this is the cause of the high risk of injury This gives rise to a variety of views from practitioners' parents The purpose of this study is to determine the meaning of parkour construction in the view of the parents of Parkour Flow It Pekanbaru practitioners. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques are by interviewing and documenting, where the informants determined by the author in this study were 5 informants. The results of this study indicate that parents in interpreting parkour are divided into two, namely 4 parents interpreting parkour as a positive activity and 1 parent interpreting parkour as a negative activity. then because the motive of parents in agreeing their children to take part in parkour activities is as a positive activity, likes parkour, distributes hobbies, likes sports, and who disapproves is due to dangerous reasons. In order the motive of parents in agreeing is to have their children physically trained, helping college activities, expanding relationships, and for future children's weight can be decreased, then who disapproves of it because they are worried that their child will get injured so that the child will fail the police test.
