Abstract

Onomatopoeia in a graphic novel is very closely related. Onomatopoeia is the use of words that are similar to sounds or sounds produced from goods, movements or people contained in graphic novels. Graphic novels itself is a means of comfort that comes from the thoughts of the author added to the experience and environment in which he lived. Title this research is "Analysis of Onomatopoeia in Si Toyeb's Graphic Novel by Husni Assaerozi ". The problem of this study, (1) What is the onomatopoeic group in a graphic novel Si Toyeb by Husni Assaerozi. (2) What is the meaning in Si's graphic novel Toyeb by Husni Assaerozi. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the onomatopoeia and the meanings contained in graphic novels Si Toyeb by Husni Assaerozi. The theory that I use is the theory of Dewi, Sri Rahayu, and Ari Musdolifah, (2018) and Chaer (2007). Approach in research this is a qualitative approach and this type of research includes research library with the method used is descriptive method. Data source in this study are all onomatopoeia found in Si graphic novels Toyeb by Husni Assaerozi. for data collection techniques in this study the author uses hermeneutic techniques (read, note and conclude). Results research on Onomatopoeic Analysis in Si Toyeb's Graphic Novel by Husni Assaerozi, consists of 64 onomatopoeia contained in the graphic novel. There are three groups of onomatopoeia, the sound onomatopoeia produced by human 18 onomatopoeia, onomatopoeic sound produced by objects 23 onomatopoeia, and onomatopoeia sounds produced by everyday life 23 onomatopoeia. Onomatopoeia which has contextual meaning in Si Toyeb's graphic novel the work of Husni Assaerozi is 64 onomatopoeia.
