Abstract

Kindergarten teachers as educators, must be able to communicate well and politely, be polite in governing and directing kindergarten students in the learning and teaching process, good and polite communication will have an influence on students' understanding of the teacher's speech, so the intended purpose achieved can be conveyed well. However, in the words of the Nurul Ulum Kindergarten teacher in Kumbara Utama Village, Kerinci Kanan Subdistrict, Siak Regency, there were still polite speeches. The problem in this study is how is the imperative speech utterance found in the speech of Nurul Ulum Kindergarten Teacher in Kumbara Utama Village, Kerinci Kanan Subdistrict, Siak Regency and how is the maxim of politeness principle in every imperative sentence Nurul Ulum Kindergarten Teacher in Kumbara Utama Village, Kerinci Kanan Subdistrict, Siak District. The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the politeness of imperative sentences Nurul Ulum Kindergarten Teacher in Kumbara Utama Village, Kerinci Kanan Subdistrict, Siak Regency. This study uses the theory put forward by Rahardi (2005) and is supported by other theories. Pragmatics by Nadar (2009) and Yule (2006). The source of this research data is the teacher of Nurul Ulum Kindergarten in Kumbara Utama Village, Kerinci Kanan Subdistrict, Siak Regency. This data is utterances which are indicated by imperative sentences and maxims of the principle of politeness. The method that I use in this research is descriptive method, qualitative approach, the type of research used is the type of field. The conclusion of this study is that from the overall data of 148 speeches there are 71 imperative sentence utterances and 36 politeness principle maxims contained in each imperative speech. 10 data from the imperative sentence in the Nurul Ulum kindergarten teacher in Kubara Utama Village, Kerinci Kanan Subdistrict, Siak Regency are categorized as not polite. So the imperative speech of Nurul Ulum Kindergarten teachers in Kumbara Utama Village, Kerinci Kanan Subdistrict, Siak Regency as a whole can be categorized as polite.
